Our Home - A Couch Update with Comfort Works Slipcovers!
I have something so fun for you guys today! I shared briefly about this on Instagram and got so many comments and questions saying you didn’t even know this was a thing and neither did I but now - I wish I had known a LONG time ago!
We’ve had our dark grey Ikea couch for over 10 years. It was a great couch and was still in good shape but after 10 years and three kids, the fabric was so worn and out of style. We had been searching for a new couch but couldn’t find much within our budget and that fit the style we were going for. Enter Comfort Works! I found Comfort Works almost accidentally after commenting on someone else’s post asking where their gorgeous couch was from. They replied “comfort works slipcovers” and I could’t believe this existed!
Comfort Works makes stylish, quality, affordable slipcovers for sofas. They give sofas a second chance and make it easy and affordable to change up the look of your room. They have a ton of beautiful and practical fabrics that fit a TON of sofas and chairs from Ikea to Pottery Barn.
Their website was simple to use and my mind was spinning with new possibilities for our space! You can easily search the website for the sofa you already own and then “try on” all the different fabrics to see which one you love the most. If you’re still not sure, you can have samples sent to you so you can see and feel the beautiful fabrics in person.
We ordered a couple fabric samples and after polling you guys on IG we decided to go with the Savannah Saddle Vegan Leather couch slipcover for our Karlstad sofa. It looks great, is classic and can totally wipe clean (key when you have 3 little kids).
When it arrived we to right to work removing the old fabric off our couch and reviving it with the Savannah Saddle slipcover from Comfort Works. My husband did most of the work (with Dexter’s help) and it was such a simple and quick process. When he called me out to see it, I couldn’t believe the difference! It felt (and looked) like a whole new couch and room. I loved the buttery vegan leather and how much more chic our couch looked.
I’ll share some before and after photos below and a little of our sofa in action. It’s such a great option for us as a family on a budget and feels like we have a whole new space.
If you have a sofa that needs an update I encourage you to check out Comfort Works. You can browse their many beautiful fabrics at www.comfortworks.com.
Thanks so much for reading!
